Over the last 7 weeks I have completed the 'Positive Intelligence' Coaches Programme which is centred on building positive habits for a positive mind.
A core part of the programme focuses on helping us understand and use our Sage powers of empathise, explore, innovate, navigate, and activate to succeed and thrive in life and in our work. The programme has also helped us to understand our 'Saboteurs' that can really hinder us at times.
Saboteurs are the voices in our head that generate negative emotions in the way we handle life’s everyday challenges. They represent automated patterns in our minds for how to think, feel and respond.
As part of the programme I've discovered that one of my key saboteurs is 'people-pleasing'. I have worked very hard in my business to challenge this heavily over the years with great success but it still plays out personally on occasions where it leads me to put others first too much of the time, to the detriment of myself and my needs.
The last 7 weeks have really helped me to challenge myself on this quote below. If you know you have this tendency, I challenge you to do the same and just stop and pause before saying yes too freely when deep down you know you want to say no. It goes against the grain for me in many ways as at my core I love helping others so much - however I am realising that at times I need to ensure I say yes to myself more and feel comfortable saying no to others.
I have been so inspired by the programme that I am planning to commence the certification to become a PQ coach in early 2023 to compliment my coaching and consulting skills. I can't wait to share this learning and insight with my clients - in-fact I am already starting to!
Have a super weekend and make sure you do something this weekend to put yourself first and say yes to you.
Thank you Jacqui Jagger and Marie Wicker - it's been such a great investment of time and space together.
