Own Your Development
Happy Friday!
I delivered a session for Attivo - Women’s Committee last week on ‘Owning Your Development’ – one of my favourite topics!
During the session we explored the following:
⭐️ Recognising the value of taking ownership for your own development (both
professional and personal).
⭐️ Identifying the approach to planning that best suits your own learning
preferences.
⭐️ Practical frameworks and tools for creating your development plan.
⭐️ Hints and tips to embed positive habits that turn your plan into action and
results.
The session enabled the group to:
put themselves front and centre of their own development
feel empowered to consider their own goals and ambitions
consider who and what can help them achieve their goals
realise the importance of alignment between personal and professional goals and wants
I also encouraged the group to ensure their development plan included dedicated time and space for them – I shared the example of acquiring my allotment this year – one of my most surprising achievements personally this year, has been learning to grow fruit and vegetables, something I never considered I’d be able to do! It has benefited my physical and mental health and afforded me protected space which has been so beneficial.
Many thanks to Chloe Armitage DipFA DipPFS for asking me to lead this session for the Attivo Women’s Committee – it’s been wonderful to get to know you over the last three years Chloe, and to also see your own growth and development.
Consider today this question….
❓Which one action can I take to support my personal and professional
development over the next month? - it can be a simple small step which helps
put ‘you’ at the centre of your own development.
If you’d like to explore further how you can ‘Own your own development’, please get in touch and I’d be very happy to chat with you.
Have a super weekend!
