No Hard Feelings - Emotions at Work - my recommended read

Happy Friday!

I haven't shared a book recommendation through my weekly blog for some time so thought it about time I did.

I am currently enjoying No Hard Feelings (Emotions at work and how they help us succeed) by Liz Fosslien & Mollie West Duffy. I came across this book on Joe Wick's instagram page where he had shared some illustrations from this book which appealed to me.

This book helps us figure out which emotions to use, which to share, which to keep to ourselves and which to express more in order to be both happier and more effective. It's full of research and tips to help us bring the best of ourselves to our work. The book links closely to the work I do with clients on Emotional Intelligence, Myers Briggs, DiSC and Leadership development.

I love the simplicity of how it is written and cleverly illustrated. It encourages us to consider and challenge; our health, our motivation, our decision making, our communication style and how we lead ourselves and our teams by using our emotions. it also challenges us to really consider why 'how' we share matters.

it's well written and many of the illustrations are amusing but also incredibly powerful. I wish this book had been written years ago. If you have read this I'd love to hear your thoughts and if you haven't I recommend it. I'd also love to hear of any other recommended reads you have on this subject. My children also love the cover - I won't tell you which animal they said I was on the front!
