Happy Friday!
I concluded a 6 month volunteer coaching programme with a wonderful client this week, who has worked within Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) for many years.
CHAS work in partnership with health and social care to ensure hospice and palliative care services are provided for babies, children, young people and their families across Scotland.
They support families in homes, hospices and hospitals, through the terrifying heartbreak of knowing their child may die young. With love and compassion, they offer highly personalised care for the entire family (parents, carers, siblings, other family members and significant people in each childs' life).
Their purpose is to provide unwavering care for children who may die young and their families, at every step of the hardest of journeys.
One of my brilliant mentors Peter Hill approached me and asked if I’d like to volunteer as a coach for CHAS. I've known Peter for many years and after hearing how much the charity meant to him and the work they do, it was an immediate yes. It’s been wonderful to coach my brilliant client and also learn about the nature of the incredible work CHAS do.
If you get the opportunity to serve, volunteer or help someone, I encourage you to do it. Fundraising is so important to me through my marathons and supporting charities close to my heart. This opportunity has enabled me to give my time and my experience as a coach to a truly wonderful charity.
Thank you for the opportunity to make a difference Peter Hill and Janice Thompson.

Have a great weekend ahead!
