Happy Friday!
Back and ready to go after a wonderful trip to Thailand with my family.
Those who know me well, know my love for travel and adventure. I last spent time in Thailand in January 2005 very shortly after the 2004 Tsunami (whilst backpacking) – it was my last stop before returning back to the UK. It was an extremely difficult time and whilst I got to visit Bangkok and Ko Samui, I have been keen for many years to return and make new memories with my family in a beautiful country with such beautiful people.
We visited some of the places I had backpacked to but it was wonderful to visit so many new places together. We did just some of the following – visited the Grand Palace, Wat Arun and Wat Po, enjoyed a Tuk Tuk ride, had a dinner boat cruise along the Chao Praya river, visited the Maeklong Railway Marekt and Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, explored China Town, ate in many food markets and some lovely Thai restaurants, got to spend time at the Samui Elephant Sanctuary and feed and walk with these beautiful animals, snorkelled, swam and explored the stunning Ang Thong National Marine Park, visited Koh Tan and Koh Madsum (spending time with the free roaming pigs) and also enjoyed some lovely pool and beach days too.
So very grateful to have built a business which enables me to take this time and travel. I am conscious of how fortunate our children are to do this, my first trip on a plane wasn’t until I was 16 years old and I don’t have memories of childhood holidays. We are working hard to instil in them; to appreciate our beautiful planet, explore, travel, be grateful and thankful for opportunities and to focus on collecting memories over possessions in life.
Excited for September and to be back working with my clients. Have a super weekend ahead!
