The Power of Connection

Happy Friday!

I wanted to share this image today as it illustrates the power of connection and the joy of working with brilliant people. This group of wonderful humans are responsible for my first step into the world of learning and development. We were the L&D training team at Standard Life 20 years ago! I took this role soon after returning from year of travelling and it was one of the best career decisions I ever made. 

Trish Divine led our team and she did it brilliantly. I had the pleasure of working with Oliver Couchman (who also ended up being the toastmaster at our wedding!) and Amanda Nicholas - they have all become life long friends that mean so much to me. I also met my wonderful husband Philip Hurdman!

We all got together for the day last Sunday and it was just brilliant. Although we don't see each other as much as we'd like, we just pick up from where we leave off. We laughed so much, reminisced on memories, made new ones and enjoyed each others company as much as we did all those years ago. 

I encourage you today to reach out and thank someone you have worked with who:
