The Power Of Our Values

Happy Friday!

Those who know me and work with me will know my passion for all things VALUES.

On Wednesday I had the pleasure of working with the brilliant Lisa Johnson to lead a session on 'The Power of our Values' with a fabulous group of professionals in finance, investment and law. We focused of the following:

💡Identifying our own values

💡Understanding how our core values drive our behaviour, actions and motivations

💡Learning how we can use our values to leverage the value we bring to others

💡Identifying how we can leverage our values in key relationships

💡Exploring how we can align our core values with our professional and personal

goals and ambitions

Every time I work on values with clients or deliver group/team sessions in this area I feel even more in touch with my own values of empathy, integrity, honesty and responsibility.

The session helped the group to explore, identify and connect with their own core values, to identify how they show up in their work and in their life, to spot the triggers when something/someone cuts across their values and their choice of how to respond/react (considering hilltops 🗻) and crucially how their values help them to fulfil their purpose and achieve their ambitions.

We also discussed the importance of company values living and breathing and being embedded in everything the company sets out to do both externally and internally.

Three key questions I posed which resonated for the group were....

❓What have I done today that has demonstrated my core values in action?

❓How can I 'pause before pleasing' to ensure I stand by my values?

❓How do I specifically share and demonstrate my core values (and company

values) with my clients and colleagues?
