Happy Friday,
This image resonated for me this week (from my Liz and Mollie desk top calendar).
It made me think about how much time I personally spend on a screen as opposed to how much time I spend away from a screen. Pretty much all phones and devices now enable us to see the amount of screen time we access and the stats are scary!
I'm challenging myself more and more to turn off tech at night – it’s a challenge but I am conscious that I am setting the example for my children.
I thought I’d share 5 fiction reads that I have read over the last few months that help me escape, put away the phone and turn off the TV.
I’d love to hear your suggestions for good fiction reads too!
Even if you are not a lover of books, an audible or a podcast is a great alternative where we can listen as opposed to staring at a screen.
Richard Osman – The Thursday Murder Club
Richard Osman – The Man who died twice (now on the third!)
Sally Page – The Keeper of Stories
Enid Blyton – Five on Treasure Island (read to my twins, I loved Enid Blyton as a child and still love it as much now)
The Beekeeper of Aleppo – Christy Lefteri (re-read as I loved it so much when I read it three years ago)
Have a super weekend ahead!
